Editorial standards

Who writes / who reviews

Default authorship is the code.live editorial team (Organization). Priority and fact-bearing pages (comparisons, security guidance, version claims) require a human review pass before promotion out of longtail / noindex tiers. We do not invent named “expert” bylines.

Sources

Prefer primary documentation: RFCs, MDN, language specs, and vendor docs. AI-assisted drafts are allowed; unchecked AI-only publish is not allowed on priority tier. Claim-bearing pages link Sources when we cite third-party facts.

Corrections

Report errors via the contact path on About. Material corrections are date-stamped on the page when practical and noted in the changelog. We do not bump “last updated” dates without a substantive edit.

Conflicts & disclosures

code.live is a free tools product. Comparisons that include our own tools disclose that relationship. We do not publish affiliate-disguised rankings without disclosure.

What we will not publish

• Fabricated benchmarks or unsourced performance numbers
• Invented salary, version, or pricing claims
• Fake author credentials or synthetic “last verified” badges
• Thin keyword pages promoted to index without demand + review
